Job summary

We’re growing quickly and looking for a Customer Support Cyber Security Engineer to join our Canadian-based team! This role blends technical expertise with a client–focused approach. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor, working directly with clients and partners to ensure seamless onboarding, rapid time-to-value, and continuous optimization of our product.

You’ll also have the opportunity to work directly with leadership, product, and engineering to influence our roadmap and drive real outcomes in customer environments. This role is ideal some someone with a strong technical background who is looking to leverage their expertise, while transitioning into a customer-facing capacity.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Technical Implementation & Optimization   

  • Serve as the technical lead and trusted advisor to our partners and clients, including Channel Partners, CISOs and Security Operations teams.  
  • Partner with internal technical teams to troubleshoot findings, triage alerts, and communicate feature updates and roadmaps.  
  • Work closely with the Styx Intelligences’ Product and Engineering teams to escalate client feedback, validate new features, and guide client-driven innovation.  
  • Ensure clients/partners are maximizing reporting tools, configuring custom alerts, and integrating Styx findings into their security operations workflows (SIEM/SOAR, ticketing, etc.).  
  • Leverage your technical depth and domain knowledge to help clients connect the dots between what is possible with our product suite.  

 

Client Onboarding & Enablement   

  • Lead onboarding and training for new clients, ensuring seamless implementation and early time-to-value with the modules in our platform (Brand Protection, Dark Web & Data Leakage, Enterprise Attack Surface Management (EASM), Executive Protection, etc.).  
  • Translate platform capabilities into actionable guidance that maximizes client adoption and engagement.  
  • Configure integrations, reporting tools, and custom alerts to fit client security workflows (SIEM/SOAR, ticketing, APIs).  

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration  

  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to streamline client experiences, drive product improvements, and shape internal processes.   
  • Advocate for clients’ needs internally and share real-world feedback to improve product reliability and usability.  
  • Help to further build out playbooks, best practices, and processes that will form the foundations of our growing cyber security team.   

Required Qualifications:

Must Have’s  

  • 2-5 years of experience in Customer Support, or cyber security role, preferably client-facing and in a cyber security or SaaS company.  
  • Strong technical background with an understanding of how systems fit together and a fearless approach to diving into configurations, API’s and data flows.    
  • At least one base certification in cyber security (CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+).  
  • Experience in supporting MSSPs, mid-market and enterprise clients, as well as high-risk industries (e.g., government, finance, retail).  
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with confidence, engaging and presenting to both technical and executive stakeholders  
  • Ability to translate complex technical findings into clear business insights and prioritized actions.  
  • Comfort working in fast-paced startup environments – bias for action, low ego, and high accountability.  
  • A natural problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments with high autonomy and accountability.  

 

Nice to Have’s  

  • Prior experience working in a cyber security function or capacity would be considered an asset.   
  • Knowledge of specific cyber security areas relevant to our offering, including Threat Intelligence, Attack Surface Management, Data Leakage, and Brand Protection concepts.

  • Salary Range: $80K – $100K
